Distribution space in Bristol pleased to see Paintworks progress

A full planning application to build the third phase of Bristol’s Paintworks scheme, including more than 200 new homes, has been submitted to the city council.

Crest Nicholson and Verve Properties have entered into a joint venture to develop 221 houses and apartments, 61,700 sq ft of commercial space with separate BBC studios, 5,000 sq ft of retail/leisure space and 11 live/work units.

Work is to begin later this year, which is set to be the first major project within the Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone. The work is expected to be completed within 18 months to two years.

The first phase of the Paintworks scheme was completed in 2006 when the former Victorian paint factory was developed into a hub for creative companies.
