120 jobs created at new Farmfoods depot in Bristol Distribution Centre

Frozen food specialists, Farmfoods, are proud to announce the opening this month of their new, state-of-the-art Bristol Distribution Centre at Central Park, Severnside. As past of the retailer’s continued strategic expansion plans in the South and South West , the 175,000 square foot, temperature controlled facility will create 120 exciting new job opportunities to hep boost the local Bristol economy.

Until now Farmfoods’ branches in southern regions have been serviced by a depot at Monkspath in the West Midlands, so this development will ensure greater efficiencies in their supply chain and therefore enhance the level of service on offer to customers across the South, the South West and Wales.

Built by the developer Roxhill, the warehouse will provide a significant boost to Farmfoods’ national distribution capabilities and unlock much needed spare capacity in the company’s three existing distribution centres. Seeking to service their branches  in a more efficient manner, Farmfoods identified Central Park as the perfect site for their fourth depot due to its excellent road links and easy access to the M4/M5 corridor.

It is an exciting time for Farmfoods as they look to meant their recent growth in our region, and it is an exciting time for Bristol as these great employment opportunities are brought to the area.
